2/3/2008 Superbowl MCMLXXXVIDCXRVLMMToday is that special day of the year where I pretend to like football and watch the game. Before I was married, I would go to superbowl parties and end up talking to the women in the kitchen, because I could never get into the game. Jenny isn't that into it either, so we're going to watch the commercials together with the kids. Hopefully Janet Jackson (or someone younger and hotter) will take her shirt off again like a few years ago. I don't understand why people get so excited about stuff like this, but I guess it's something to do. I always think of this article when I'm around people who get too wrapped up in sports. (And I also hate people who talk about how they are too sensitive or intelligent to like sports...I'm not skipping it because I want to read Proust and write poetry in the corner, I just don't get into it, it doesn't mean that I am a better person for it). (There are lots of OTHER reasons that I'm a better person than everyone else, this just isn't one of them :-D) Comments (5)
